A California federal judge on Tuesday declined to order a new trial after a $5 million verdict against IKOR Inc. and two of its executives for breach of contract in an investment agreement with Logtale Ltd., but did cut damages to $2 million, finding they were duplicative.

A founder of IKOR Inc. on Friday urged a California federal judge to throw out a jury's $5 million verdict finding the company and its co-founders liable for breaching an investment agreement with Logtale Inc., saying Logtale failed to show it had been harmed and that jury instructions were flawed.

A California federal jury on Friday awarded Logtale Inc. $5 million in damages in its trial accusing IKOR Inc. of breaching an investment agreement by misrepresenting the health of its bovine-derived oxygen therapeutics business and selling the rights to its intellectual property.
