An Ohio federal court on Tuesday sentenced an ex-Thompson Hine LLP senior antitrust and white collar partner to one year and one day in federal prison in a tax evasion case accusing him of making improper deductions of purported business expenses, including payments to private clubs.

Prosecutors asked an Ohio federal court Tuesday for a prison sentence of up to 16 months for an ex-Thompson Hine LLP senior antitrust and white collar partner who pled guilty in November to filing false tax returns and overstating his business expenses by more than $250,000.
