A Florida federal judge on Friday tossed "Jersey Shore" star Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino's lawsuit accusing Abercrombie & Fitch Stores Inc. of misappropriating his image and trademarked nickname, saying the retailer's "The Fitchuation" T-shirt was a parody that consumers would not believe came from Sorrentino.

Abercrombie & Fitch Stores Inc. on Monday asked a Florida federal court to toss "Jersey Shore" star Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino's lawsuit accusing the retailer of using his image and trademarked catchphrases without permission, saying it had merely engaged in parody.

Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino on Tuesday sued Abercrombie & Fitch Stores Inc. — which recently told media outlets it would pay the reality TV star to stop wearing its clothes — accusing the retailer in Florida federal court of using his image and trademarked catchphrases without permission.
