A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday ordered convicted former Pennsylvania Sen. Vince Fumo to pay an additional $356,000 as a result of his 2009 fraud conviction, a figure that fell short of the roughly $775,000 sought by federal prosecutors.

The government is considering appealing ex-Pennsylvania Sen. Vincent Fumo's prison sentence of five years and one month for defrauding the state Senate, a museum and a nonprofit of millions of dollars, prosecutors said Friday.
