Gas station chain QuikTrip Corp. on Friday staved off allegations it sold fuel at artificially low prices to box smaller rivals out of the market, after a Missouri federal judge found that the organization purporting to represent individual gas stations failed to show it had been harmed.

A group of independently owned St. Louis gas stations sued QuikTrip Corp. on Wednesday, claiming the Midwest chain sold gasoline at unnaturally low prices to squash competitors and monopolize the local market.
