Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. on Friday moved to toss direct purchasers' claims in multiple class actions and individual suits accusing it of conspiring with Wyeth LLC to delay a generic antidepressant's entry into the market, arguing that settling patent litigation with Wyeth didn't violate antitrust law.

Drugstore giants Walgreen Co. and The Kroger Co. on Wednesday became the latest to accuse Pfizer Inc. unit Wyeth LLC of using sham patent litigation and other anti-competitive tactics to block generic competition with its antidepressant Effexor XR.
