A Virginia federal judge has granted Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.'s bid for discovery sanctions against Financial Markets International Inc., saying Friday the consulting firm didn't obey a court order to identify individuals involved in a breach-of-contract suit over a U.S. Agency for International Development subcontract.

Financial Markets International Inc. on Wednesday pushed back against Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.'s bid for discovery sanctions in a suit FMI brought over a U.S. Agency for International Development subcontract, calling it "an unwarranted drain" upon the resources of the court and FMI.

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. argued Thursday that a Virginia federal judge should nix Financial Markets International Inc.'s lawsuit over a U.S. Agency for International Development subcontract because the company had gone out of its way to provide billing documentation to FMI.
