A Texas federal judge on Thursday signed off a deal between Acer Inc. and Profectus Technology LLC, ending claims that Acer's tablet computers infringe a Profectus digital display patent.

Hewlett-Packard Co., Motorola Solutions Inc. and Acer Inc. were hit Friday with separate lawsuits in Texas federal court from Profectus Technology LLC, who says the three companies' tablet computers infringe a Profectus digital display patent.
