A California federal judge on Monday tossed a trade secret suit by movie camera maker Red Digital against rival Arri Inc. and a former Arri executive who had previously copped to hacking the email of a competitor, based on a settlement the parties reached in the dispute.

Movie camera maker Red Digital Camera on Wednesday launched a trade secret and unfair competition suit in California against rival Arri Inc. and a former Arri executive who pled guilty in September to hacking the email of another competitor, Band Pro Film & Digital.
