A businessman who pled guilty to defrauding the U.S. and conspiring to export computer equipment to Iran, despite the U.S. embargo on trade with the country, was sentenced last week to 18 months in federal prison, along with a $1.25 million forfeiture.

A businessman who pled guilty to defrauding the U.S. and to conspiring to export computer equipment to Iran, despite the U.S. embargo on trade with the country, asked a Washington federal court Tuesday for a noncustodial sentence in addition to a $1.25 million forfeiture.
