A group of class members in a certified action against Massage Envy Franchising LLC asked a California district court on Monday to reject a proposed settlement, saying the chain has not stopped making customers give up contractual rights to massages they had paid for in advance.

A California federal judge on Tuesday certified a class that could include more than 130,000 Massage Envy Franchising LLC customers, who claim the chain committed unfair business practices by making them give up contractual rights to massages they had paid for in advance.
