A former University of Miami employee on Thursday dropped his whistleblower suit alleging the school's medical center fraudulently billed Medicaid for millions of dollars, walking away just over a month after the university argued that the case should be axed.

The University of Miami on Monday urged a judge to toss an ex-employee's whistleblower suit claiming its medical center fraudulently billed Medicaid for millions of dollars and that the school retaliated against him when he spoke up, saying no sufficient facts support the allegations.
