Famous Dave's Booze Tax Settlement Gets Rejected
A Pennsylvania federal judge rejected a proposed settlement Thursday between Famous Dave's of America Inc. and a class of consumers who claim the barbecue chain's Philadelphia restaurants charged them excessive taxes on alcoholic beverages, saying the deal did not compensate class members.

Barbecue restaurant chain Famous Dave's of America Inc. was hit with a proposed class action Wednesday claiming the company's Philadelphia locations overcharged consumers by socking them with excessive taxes on alcoholic beverages.
