False Ad Deal With Remedies Co. Gets Nod 2nd Time Around
A California federal judge on Wednesday gave preliminary approval to a $700,000 class action settlement with homeopathic-product maker Similasan Corp., about eight months after she rejected an earlier version of the deal for its absence of monetary relief to non-named class members.

In a rare move, a California federal judge has rejected a class action settlement, saying Tuesday that a broad litigation ban therein and the objections of eight state attorneys general were persuasive arguments against a deal that purported to help consumers who bought certain homeopathic products.
