Neutrogena Corp. has agreed to pay consumers $1.3 million and cover up to $500,000 in attorneys' fees to settle claims that the company deceptively touted a line of cosmetic products as natural even though they contain synthetic ingredients like petrochemicals, according to court documents filed Thursday.

A federal judge on Friday eliminated all but one Neutrogena Corp. beauty product at issue in a proposed class action alleging the company deceptively marketed as "natural" a line of cosmetic cleansers that contain artificial and synthetic ingredients.
