Wilder Balter Partners Inc. moved for summary judgment Tuesday in New York federal court in a contract case against a New Jersey company over a shopping center project, claiming a letter of consent to consider a joint venture with the company did not constitute a binding agreement.

M&M Realty Partners LLC, the would-be developer of a 128-acre New York shopping mall, countersued the property owner in federal court Tuesday, claiming Wilder Balter Partners Inc. negotiated with M&M to develop the mall and then improperly terminated their agreement.
