Feds Settle Discriminatory Lending Suit Against GFI Mortgage
GFI Mortgage Bankers Inc. on Thursday settled an anti-discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. attorney in Manhattan accusing the mortgage lender of charging African-American and Hispanic borrowers thousands of dollars in extra fees that were unrelated to their credit risk.
