A Sanofi SA unit and Federal Express Corp. have reached an impasse in settlement talks over Sanofi's allegations that the shipping company ruined $7 million worth of vaccines, attorneys for the parties told a New York federal judge Friday.

The vaccines division of Sanofi SA on Thursday sued a specialty unit of Federal Express Corp. for allegedly exposing a $7 million pharmaceutical shipment to subfreezing temperatures, rendering the product unfit for human consumption.
