Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd., Panasonic Corp. and Yamaha Corp. are among the latest electronics giants to settle patent disputes brought in Texas and the U.S. International Trade Commission by patent-holding firm Anu IP LLC, ending allegations that they infringed Anu's patents on retractable USB devices.

A patent-holding company launched a wide-ranging litigation blitz Tuesday, suing Toshiba America Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and a host of other companies in Texas court and promising a related U.S. International Trade Commission action over a pair of patents for retractable-connector USB devices.
