A Washington federal judge on Monday tossed portions of a $100 million lawsuit against financial services provider Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association of America and its affiliates over a stalled apartment project, noting much of the case may be thrown out in the future.

Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association of America and its affiliates asked a Washington federal judge on Thursday to throw out a $100 million suit lodged by its partners in an apartment building project, whose second phase has stalled after a falling out between the companies.
