Tea Drinkers Hit Back At Bigelow's Bid To End Antioxidant Suit
A tea drinker who claims Bigelow misled him on its labels about the amount of antioxidants in its teas fought the company's bid for a quick win Friday, telling a California federal judge that the company's alleged lies — which he maintains he relied on when deciding to purchase the herbal beverage — are not protected by free speech laws.

R.C. Bigelow Inc. was hit with a putative class action Wednesday in California federal court alleging the tea company made illegal and misleading health claims about antioxidants even after other tea makers were warned by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration about similar claims.
