A New York federal judge Tuesday granted preliminary approval to a $15.6 million settlement between HSBC Bank USA NA and almost 2,000 bankers, managers and specialists who claim the company adopted high-productivity requirements compelling employees to work overtime, but didn't compensate them for those hours.

HSBC Makes $15.6M Deal To End Bankers' OT Class Action
HSBC Bank USA NA has agreed to pay $15.6 million to resolve a putative class action alleging the company withheld overtime wages from some of its bankers, managers and specialists, according to a proposed settlement filed Monday in New York federal court.
