U.S. Army contractor International Biometric Group LLC on Friday dropped its federal lawsuit in New York against a former director it had accused of bilking trade secrets after leaving the company for a rival contractor, in violation of a noncompete agreement.

A federal judge on Thursday dismissed claims that Intrepid Solutions and Services Inc. illegally poached an executive with trade secrets from a rival defense contractor, finding the suit shouldn't have been brought in New York.
