Canon USA Inc. escaped allegations its purported refusal to sell parts and supplies to a pair of office equipment dealers following their acquisition by Xerox Corp. constituted a violation of antitrust and contract law, after a New York federal judge signed off on a voluntary dismissal of the case.

Two office equipment dealers slapped Canon USA Inc. with an antitrust and contract suit in New York on Thursday, claiming that Canon stopped selling them needed parts and supplies after they were acquired by Xerox Corp. subsidiary Global Imaging Systems Inc.
