Biz Method Patent Challenge Halts Suits Over Trading System
A Delaware federal judge on Tuesday stayed infringement suits against Bloomberg Finance LP and others after the companies sought to challenge the trading system patent at issue under the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's new business method patent review, without waiting for the agency to take up the challenge.

Bloomberg, E-Trade, Others Face Stock Alert Patent Suits
Australian analytics company Markets-Alert Pty. Ltd. launched a spate of lawsuits Wednesday accusing Bloomberg LP, Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., E-Trade Financial Corp., TD Ameritrade Inc. and other online stock traders of infringing a patented system for providing electronic stock market alerts.
