Eddie Money has reached an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment to drop all claims in his suit accusing the music company of shortchanging him on royalties from digital downloads of his songs, according to an order of dismissal filed Friday in New York federal court.

Sony Music Entertainment's bid to pare down a contract suit alleging that Eddie Money was shorted on digital download royalties should be denied, a New York federal judge recommended Monday, rejecting Sony's claim that it wasn't adequately notified about the rock singer's gripes.
