A Florida federal judge on Monday dismissed American Security Insurance Co.'s claims against three contractors that allegedly damaged evidence in a suit over fire-prone fridges in recreational vehicles, ruling that the court cannot assert supplemental jurisdiction as to the claims.

Fridge Maker Claims Lack Of Injury Bars RV Fire Suit
Refrigerator manufacturer Norcold Inc. on Wednesday asked a Florida federal judge to toss an insurance suit over fire-prone fridges in recreational vehicles, arguing that the economic loss doctrine bars the claims because the fires caused no personal injury or damage to property other than the RVs.
