Clothing retailer Wet Seal Inc. on Thursday agreed to a $7.5 million settlement in a class action launched in California federal court by a Pennsylvania store manager who alleged that the company created a hostile environment for African-American management employees.

A former worker pursuing a putative class action accusing clothing retailer The Wet Seal Inc. of discriminating against black store managers faced a hostile work environment and had to quit, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said in a determination made public Monday.
