A Tennessee federal judge on Tuesday dismissed all claims brought by a Tennessee county's register of deeds against Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac over their exemption from real estate transfer taxes, saying the register did not have standing.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were hit Monday with a putative class action by a Warren County, Tenn., official seeking to recoup allegedly unpaid property transfer taxes related to foreclosures, the latest in a slew of such cases launched in recent months.
