A California federal judge on Wednesday denied Toshiba Corp.'s bid to escape Best Buy Co. Inc.'s antitrust claims in multidistrict litigation over price-fixing in the liquid crystal display industry, finding Best Buy has standing and its claims are timely.

Best Buy Co. Inc. has agreed to toss Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV from multidistrict litigation stemming from a widespread price-fixing scheme in the liquid crystal display industry, according to court papers filed Thursday in California federal court.
