An Oregon federal judge on Monday rejected the U.S. Department of Labor's bid to appeal a decision to vacate consent decrees between the agency and two berry farms, ruling that the farms only signed the agreements because the DOL had paused shipments of perishable blueberries.

A federal magistrate judge said Wednesday that consent judgments in which a pair of Oregon berry farms admitted to wage law violations should be vacated since the farms agreed to sign them only because the U.S. Department of Labor was holding up shipments of perishable blueberries.
