Apotex Inc. has agreed to a licensing deal with Nuvo Research Inc. to end patent infringement litigation in Delaware over its plans to make a generic version of arthritis treatment cream Pennsaid, Nuvo said Tuesday.

Nuvo Research Inc. and Mallinckrodt LLC sued generic-drug makers Apotex Inc. and Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Delaware federal court on Thursday to block them from releasing their own version of arthritis pain cream Pennsaid.
