    Travelers Avoids Defense Coverage For Catholic Abuse Suits

    An Indiana federal judge on Friday ruled that Travelers Insurance Co. has no obligation to cover $250,000 worth of costs incurred by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis defending sexual abuse claims, finding the archdiocese lost any right to coverage by not informing Travelers of the underlying suits.

    Travelers Says Archdiocese Didn't Disclose Sex Abuse Claims

    Travelers Insurance Co. on Monday told an Indiana federal judge that the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis Inc. is responsible for $250,000 incurred in its sexual abuse litigation, saying Travelers shouldn't pay because it never received advance notice of the claims.
