Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC has settled demands that First Specialty Insurance Corp. kick in $5 million of excess coverage toward defending litigation alleging injury from Alaven's brand versions of digestion medication Reglan, it said in court papers filed Monday.

Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC sued Columbia Casualty Co. and First Specialty Insurance Corp. on Friday in Georgia federal court in an attempt to compel $10 million in defense costs for litigation related to injury claims from digestion medication Reglan.
