Epistar Can't Shield Finnegan Advice In Patent Row, BU Says
The trustees of Boston University objected Wednesday to an order blocking them from obtaining documents given to Epistar Corp. by Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner LLP related to an alleged noninfringement opinion over an LED patent held by the university, saying the company has waived attorney-client privilege.

Boston University Seeks Sanctions Against Epistar In IP Row
Trustees of Boston University urged a Massachusetts federal court on Friday to order sanctions against Epistar Corp. for using its wholly owned subsidiary to hide its sales and customers from the university in a suit alleging infringement of patents protecting gallium nitride thin film semiconductor devices.
