Taser Beats $10M False Ad Suit Over Calif. Firearm Status
A California federal judge on Tuesday tossed a customer's $10 million putative class action against Taser International Inc. alleging the company didn't tell consumers that its stun guns are considered firearms under state law, saying the plaintiff failed to support her false advertising and unfair competition claims.

Taser International Inc. is facing a $10 million false advertising putative class action from a disgruntled customer who claims the company never informed consumers that its product is considered a firearm under California law, according to a suit removed to federal court Friday.
