A federal judge in Pennsylvania said Thursday he will let a "take-home toxin" case against a ceramics company move forward, finding that New Jersey law could create a duty of care for a girlfriend or roommate who is exposed to chemicals brought home by a worker.

The New Jersey Supreme Court will decide whether a landowner's premises liability extends beyond providing duty of care to the spouse of a person exposed to a toxic substances on the property, as well as to determine the limits of that liability and duty of care.
