Sirius XM Radio Inc. and Catch A Wave Technology Inc. have settled Catch a Wave's lawsuit accusing the satellite-radio outlet of infringing its patent on technology that allows radio signals to be stored and played later, according to papers filed in California federal court Wednesday.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. urged a California federal judge on Friday to find that a radio recorder patent belonging to Catch A Wave Technology Inc. is invalid in an ongoing intellectual property dispute, saying CAWT didn't provide an adequate written description of the subject matter.
