Insurers Needn't Defend Anda In W.Va. 'Pill Mill' Suit
A Florida federal judge on Monday ruled Anda Inc. can't force Gemini Insurance Co., Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America and other insurers to defend it against West Virginia's claims the company contributed to an "epidemic" of prescription drug abuse by enabling "pill mill" pharmacies, as their policies don't cover the economic losses sought by the state.

Travelers, St. Paul Fight Coverage of W.Va. 'Pill Mill' Suit
The Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America and St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. sued Anda Inc. and its parent Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Monday in Florida federal court, saying they have no duty to cover them in a suit that accuses the drug companies of profiting from West Virginia's prescription drug abuse problem.
