Philly Sports Bar Shells Out $8.4M To DOL, Workers
Philadelphia-based Chickie's & Pete's Inc. agreed Thursday to pay out more than $8.4 million in separate settlements with the U.S. Department of Labor and with employees alleging back wages, tip theft and more under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

DOL Audit Doesn't Stay Bar Workers' Tips Suit, Judge Rules
A Pennsylvania federal judge refused Wednesday to put consolidated litigation accusing Chickie's & Pete's sports bars of digging into their employees' tips on hold during a wage-and-hour audit, noting that the statute of limitations for potential Fair Labor Standards Act opt-ins would keep running.
