A Missouri federal judge on Wednesday quashed a False Claims Act suit alleging Stryker Corp. and two other companies marketed pain pumps for potentially harmful off-label use, finding the whistleblower plaintiff's claims rested largely on publicly disclosed information.

A Missouri federal judge unsealed a False Claims Act complaint Monday brought by a former Stryker Corp. consultant who is accusing that company, I-Flow Corp. and two other firms of marketing pain pumps for an off-label use specifically denied by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
