The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Monday it had restored the food facility registration of Sunland Inc., a peanut products maker linked to a salmonella outbreak that became the first company to have its registration suspended by the agency in November.

The U.S. government on Thursday asked a New Mexico federal court to block troubled peanut products maker Sunland Inc. from continuing production and distribution after the U.S Food and Drug Administration suspended the company's registration following a salmonella outbreak.
