Canon Solutions America Inc. has agreed to settle a proposed class action brought by a former data entry worker who had accused the company of illegal criminal background check practices, according to a dismissal notice filed in New Jersey federal court Tuesday.

Judge OKs More Discovery In FCRA Background Check Suit
A New Jersey federal judge allowed further discovery Thursday in a putative Fair Credit Reporting Act class action accusing Canon Solutions America Inc. of unlawfully firing workers over criminal background check reports, saying more evidence could reveal attempts to hide the reports.
