URS E & C Holdings Inc. will pay $9 million to settle allegations in Idaho federal court that a predecessor hid a business relationship from the United States Agency for International Development when pursuing water infrastructure contracts in Egypt, the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday.

Global engineering and construction company Contrack International Inc. has agreed to pay $3.5 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by evading qualification requirements for U.S. Agency for International Development contracts, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.
