A Delaware federal judge on Tuesday tossed out a lawsuit Novartis AG brought against Alvogen Group Inc. over a generic version of the Exelon dementia treatment patch, signing off on the argument that the drug lacked a key ingredient and thus did not infringe Novartis' patents.

Novartis Sues Alvogen To Block Generic Dementia Patch
Novartis AG slapped generic-drug maker Alvogen Group Inc. with a lawsuit in Delaware on Friday, accusing Alvogen of infringing two patents by seeking U.S. regulatory approval to make and sell generic versions of the Exelon patch, a dementia treatment.
