A Virginia federal judge ruled Wednesday that security guards at the U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, would have to individually arbitrate, rather than collectively litigate, their allegations that contractor Aegis Defense Services made them work 18-hour shifts without overtime.

Aegis Defense Services, a federal contractor charged with guarding the U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, was hit with a putative class action lawsuit Tuesday by former guards who claimed they were not paid overtime despite sometimes working up to 18 hours per day.
