A California federal judge on Wednesday shot down a bid to find the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and one of its employees in contempt of court for allegedly making a false statement over a subway expansion project, saying hotel owners who made the bid failed to show the statements were false.

LA Metro Fights Contempt Bid In Subway Suit
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Friday shot back at a bid to find one of its employees in contempt of court for allegedly making a false statement over a subway expansion project that would block access to a hotel’s driveway, saying the hotel owners who filed the bid made an accusation without any support.
