LLC on Tuesday asked a Missouri federal court for final approval of a settlement to end a class action brought by gun owners in which it agreed to replace allegedly defective faulty trigger mechanisms in its best-selling Model 700 rifle and pay up to $12.5 million to class counsel.

    Remington Replacing Rifle Triggers To End Class Actions

    Remington Arms Co. LLC said Friday that it will replace allegedly faulty triggers in millions of Model 700 rifles, its most popular model, as part of a settlement to end Missouri and Washington federal class actions alleging the triggers caused accidental discharges and fatalities.
