Pizza Hut Workers Get Conditional Cert. In FLSA Suit
Tipped servers at nearly 1,260 Pizza Huts across 28 states operated by a single franchisee were awarded conditional certification by a Tennessee federal judge Tuesday in their suit alleging management used illegal methods, including having workers overstate their gratuities, to cut labor costs.

A proposed class of former and current Pizza Hut employees asked a Tennessee district judge on Wednesday to certify their collective action alleging a franchisee of the chain violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to properly compensate them and withholding overtime wages.
