A California federal judge on Tuesday axed a text-spamming class action against travel technology contractor Sabre Inc., ruling that by providing an airline with her cellphone number when booking a flight, the plaintiff gave permission to be contacted.

A California federal judge tossed out a putative class action on Thursday that accused travel technology company Sabre Inc. of sending unsolicited text messages to consumers' cellphones, saying the plaintiff failed to show she suffered an economic injury as a result.
